Welcome to the North Hampshire Women's Bowling Association Website.
The Association was established in November 1967. The original founders were Aldershot Underwood, Alton, Farnborough, Fleet United, Kingsclere, Old Basing, Smith Sports and Social and Whitchurch Bowling Clubs. From 1969 to the present day 19 more clubs joined to make it the friendly Association that it is today.
We are a friendly but competitive Association and play takes place from May right through to the competition finals at the beginning of September.
On the tabs above you will find the fixtures for 2020 which include Singles, Pairs, Triples, Fours, Champion of Champions, Dolly Anstey 2 wood Singles and the Kath McFauld Pairs. There is also a club competition called the Gazette Cup, the game consists of 18 ends, three triples, 3 bowls each player and each affiliated club may nominate one team. All these competitions are on a play on date.
The results of all these competitions are circulated to the club secretaries and will be put on the web site which will be updated as and when the results are received.
There is a programme of friendly matches played at venues throughout the county specifically aimed at integrating new members with more experienced players and the opportunity to meet and make new friends from different bowling clubs.
